August 24, 2005 - 7:55 p.m. So the cool thing about being an English major is that you get to read all sorts of cool authors that people talk about like Kant and Thoreau and Emerson (and that's just at the moment). My lit crit professor told us that we will sound very impressive that we can say we've read these people (and the rest of my syllabi). The lame thing about being an English major is that you have to read all these droning dead white guys while your friends, I dunno, do other stuff. ...before & after...
