November 27, 2004 - 10:04 a.m. Whenever I listen to music, I find that I'm somehow less creative. I get wrapped up in the lyrics and the melody and the emotion and then I cease to feel for myself. It's frustrating because I'll be touched by a song or inspired by the words. I'll try to write for myself about life or one time when we were all in love, but all I hear are the lyrics pulsating between my temples. 'Tis a pity, too. If I ever had anything to say, I like to think I would be good at saying it. Perhaps I should live in a tuneless world. It might keep me from having a song (or four) in my head everyday. Plus, I really have precious little creativity to lose. ...before & after...
