January 03, 2005 - 12:12 a.m. People get so afraid the future and what could happen. They worry about timing and about making mistakes. I do it too. But let me tell you a secret: we aren't alone. We can't possibly--even in our greatest efforts--screw up too badly. Regardless of what happens, we are learning each day about what it means to be alive; when we stop doing this, when we decide that we know everything, we are dead.
