August 23, 2005 - 11:06 a.m. So school has started again, remarkable only in that no one can remember the last time it rained on the first days of class. I know that I will survive, but the new classes are somewhat intimidating. After a semester ends, I always recall my teachers and classes fondly, though I know that at the beginning I felt just as nervous and intimidated as I do now. I'm already knee deep in Thoreau and Emerson, and physics and Plato will follow soon. I'm working on the social balancing act, finding those holes in my study schedule to spend with each different person. I feel again that this is where I belong, but if I'm feeling melancholy it's the rain or perhaps Thoreau. ...before & after...
