May 23, 2005 - 5:58 p.m. I've taken to knitting hats. I finished another one today, my second. The first was kinda big, gray with three, equal, hunter green stripes. The second is smaller, gray with three lavender stripes of different widths. Both hats are "beanies" with about an inch of ribbing at the bottom. I like them. And they're fun to make. They're just the right size project for me. I can see my progress, and they're difficult enough without taking forever. I'm still having problems getting the stripes to meet as I knit them around, but we're working on that. These hats aren't really meant to be used by anyone; they're mostly just to keep me sane. If you'd like a hat, I can make you one. Tell me what you'd like, and I'd be glad to do it. ...before & after...
